Dear Greg and family, Accept my heartfelt sorrow at Mary's passing. Although I had known her a relatively short time, she quickly became a dear friend. I was privileged to go on four pilgrimages with her, including the last one. When I think of Mary, these are the things I'll remember: she loved God and treasured her relationship with Him, Mary loved her family beyond measure, she mothered and nurtured her pilgrims, she cared deeply about life and helping those in painful situations, she was a giver in every sense of the word, and she made great BROWNIES! By her unselfish giving, she gave me a person to emulate and I will never forget her.

Greg and family, I want you to know how much I enjoyed the several tours I took with Mary. She had supplies and pockets (for those who forgot to pack appropriately) that most magicians would envy. I’ll miss this travel and prayer buddy immensely. You have my deepest sympathy in this great loss. With her deep faith, I’m confident she is already testing in His peace.

Greg, Thinking of you and your family. I appreciated Mary's stories of her travels and experiences in the Middle East. She was a giving soul and such a caring person. You and Mary volunteering at Pheasants Forever banquets in Cedar Rapids and assisting with conservation and habitat practices showed what a great team you were together. My heart goes out to you for your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. May reminiscing of memories help bring you comfort.

We were deeply saddened to learn of Mary's passing. We were privileged to travel with her on a couple memorable trips. On one of them, she shared a favorite and very easy rhubarb recipe! I'm sure that she and I had much more in common than our love of rhubarb and our Savior, Jesus Christ! Amen.

I met Mary in 1988 when I married her eldest son, Bob. I loved her from the first time I met her. My kids adored their Grandma Mary. Even as adults, they would visit her and spend time with her. What a special person she was.

My condolences go out to all of you the Johnston family for the loss of your loved one. Over the years both of my parents Hubert and Bonnie Prochaska have enjoyed so many family get togethers with you. Since my parents have passed away. I remember all the fun times they've shared and their stories of family reunions and special trips they have taken to celebrate birthdays with you. They always talked about how special Mary was and I remember stories of her always bringing little goodie bags for everyone. Rest in peace Mary.

I am so sorry that Mary Margaret is gone. I remember particularly how she used to wear her poodle skirts during her high school years! I was her younger cousin and looked up at her dress sense ( saddle shoes also). But I know that Mary is with her Dad and Mom, my Uncle Ed and Aunt Margaret, and also with her brothers John and Dennis. Good-bye Mary Margaret.
