To the Family and Friends of Sheila, you are truly Blessed to be Loved by this beautiful angel. Her enlightening smile makes me happy and reminds me of her kindness. She was and will always be Real Estate Royalty and a role model to myself and many. Loving memories and prayers. Heather Morris

During this difficult time, please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Sheila. When partnering with her on real estate transactions, I was always excited to coordinate our efforts knowing that the transaction would be seamless! We shared the passion of engagement, knowledge and doing what was in the best interest of our Clients. She will always be remembered for her contagious smile, kindness, warmth, and the positive impact she had on so many lives. May you find comfort and strength in the love and support of family and friends as you navigate through this period of grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sheila was my CEW "tablemate" many years ago. She was one of the most vibrant women I have ever met. She had a grace and a presence that was captivating. Prayers and love to her beloved Rich, Lexi, Josh, family members, and colleagues.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sheila when she started her Real Estate journey at Iowa Realty. She was a great addition to the team and with her sense of humor she fit in from day 1. I always enjoyed our conversations when she called to show a property or ask a question. I moved to WI but kept up with her on FB. She was truly one of a kind, please accept my sincere sympathy. I am thinking about you all.

Sheila and I know each other from real estate. She was one year ahead of me in getting licensed and was one of the first people I met in the Iowa Realty days. I was introduced to her as "the male version of Sheila King" by J.D. Schlotterback, which we both laughed at and received with some skepticism and curiosity only to learn very quickly that he was right. Over the next four and a half years of seeing her nearly every day, we came to realize just how alike we really were and established a really great friendship and mutual respect as colleagues. She drove on House Tour Tuesdays every week while Phil Lenzen, Lisa Shields, Dawn Tucker and I rode along with her for hours talking and touring, learning and commiserating. In that first year of knowing her she let me know I was her "work wife", a joke that Rich was in on as well as I recall, which we laughed about for years. She came into my office hundreds of times just as I had to hers. Many phone calls, company events and real estate deals later, I had ample opportunity to see that she was smart, dedicated, hilarious, an astute and efficient problem solver, a little (okay maybe a lot) OCD like me, and committed to living her life with integrity and a strong commitment to her family, faith, and career. I knew her to be an unstoppable, reliable force not just in real estate, but in life. Then, the cancer diagnosis, which showcased a level of strength and poise not often seen under such circumstances. There are so many of us that watched in awe as she fought and fought cancer and its insidious symptoms for more than four years wearing a brave and confident face while performing at such high levels in her career that seemed like they should be impossible. The dignity, strength, love and grace of her most recent years showed us irrefutable proof of the kind of person she was and the legacy she is leaving in all our hearts. I will miss my friend and respected colleague for all the ways she made our world better, inside of real estate and out. Rest peacefully, Sheila! You are and were just so very exceptional and will be so abundantly missed!

Sending prayers to Sheila's family and all her many friends. She was a true leader and had a heart of gold. She will be dearly missed.

I am so sorry for the loss. Sheila was one of the first people to be absolutely gracious and kind to me when I started Real Estate, and we had a great working relationship from then on. Always a person you were glad to be working with and I was always glad to have her on the other side of a transaction, but more than that she was a friend to me and to all she met. She will be missed greatly. My thoughts go out to her loved ones and family. So sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear of Sheila’s passing. She was such a kind & knowledgeable Realtor & wonderful person. She was so supportive of my business over the years. My thoughts & prayers go out to all family. Linda McConnell

Sheila and I started real estate at the same time in early 2010 at the same brokerage. It was always evident how much she loved her family. She would go above and beyond to do whatever her children needed. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

Shiela was such an incredible inspiration in so many ways. Full of life, laughter and an amazing light to the world. I knew her as a realtor connection, but I just always felt warmth and sincerity with all of her interactions. I told many people she was my favorite realtor to work with not because of the transaction because I just loved her as a person (but an amazing agent to work with as well). My prayers are with your family!

I am so sorry to hear about Sheila -- My heart goes out to those who are left behind, and my prayers are that the cracks and breaks in your hearts, will be sealed with the joy of knowing she is in heaven and the amazing legacy of memories she left.. You will meet again - until then she is your an angel. “You can shed tears that she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all she's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her only that she is gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back. Or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.” - author unknown

We arre so sorry to hear about Sheila. She was one of the kindest people we know. She was our realtor on three different occasions. We hope her positive discussions and planning will be passed to others in her life. She was one of a kind.

I am so sorry and sad to read of Sheila's passing. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and she made an impact in the lives of many. I was blessed to work with Sheila through our Mary Kay businesses, and I hold dear the memories of our many travels together. Over the years we sadly drifted apart, but that never dulled my love and respect for Sheila. Her zest and passion to live her life to the fullest was contagious! May God comfort Rich, Josh, and Lexie, and her many family and friends in the days to come. You all have my deepest sympathies and prayers.

In 2016 I moved, on my own, from Ohio to Iowa. I engaged Sheila as my realtor in 2017. She helped me build my condo in Cedar Rapids. Later, when I met my husband-to-be, she helped me sell that condo and purchase a house. Being on my own those first years, Sheila was more than a realtor. She became my friend, a support, and a source of so many answers. Even though I have since moved away, it's been a privilege to support Sheila and the family in prayer. We all prayed for Sheila's complete healing. That prayer has been answered. Because Jesus is her Lord and Savior, I know she is now free of pain and full of joy in the presence of our Maker. May God give peace to all who love her and may her example and message of faith take root in all hearts.

Sheila was truly one of a kind in the best ways possible. She cared so deeply for her family and the people around her and it showed every time you met with her. Always a positive attitude and persistence to achieve. I truly felt fortunate in my life to have known and been able to work with Sheila. She was a shining example of how to live one's life. Truly one of the best in every way! My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family.

Such a shock to read about Sheila. I met her years ago at a Women’s CEW at St Jude’s. She was at my table and as a result the table met for quite a while at a friend’s house for coffee and faith sharing. I loved Sheila’s true zest for life, her love of God and family, and how when she spoke you knew it was truth and from her heart. Her earthly presence will be missed. Love and prayers to and for the family. Jan Casey.

Sheila was a such kind-hearted person and will be missed dearly by so many. I enjoyed working with her over the years at Skogman. Thoughts and prayers to your family during this time.

Was very fortunate to have had multiple transactions with Sheila throughout the years. She was a class act person and agent and will be missed very much. May God's strength and love be with you and the whole family. Deepest sympathies and thought and prayers. Bob Kalous
