Joanne E. Claypool, 83, passed away February 17, 2024, at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston, Iowa. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23 at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
For the last ten years, Joanne lived in Urbandale, but was previously a resident of Marion. She enjoyed working as an analyst for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids.
Joanne is survived by her children, Dianne (Perry) Cook and Gary (Dorothy) Claypool; six grandchildren, including J.R.(Chou) Cook and Jennifer Cook; 12 great grandchildren, including Edward Cook; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Elaine Butters and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Animal Rescue League of Iowa or Noah’s Arc Animal Foundation.
