Jeff is the son of Laurence and Mary Frances Jasper, born on January 10th, 1957, in Hopkinton, IA. He attended DeVry University in Chicago, where he obtained an electronics degree. After receiving his degree Jeff worked as an electronics maintenance technician for 46.5 years at Schneider Electric. In his early years, Jeff enjoyed spending time outdoors with his siblings and cousins. They could be found playing baseball, swimming, and causing trouble together.  After Jeff purchased his first Harley Davidson, he would spend time working on it, riding it, and attending hill climbs with friends. He enjoyed repairing old cars and lawn mowers, being able to fix anything he worked on and scuba diving. It brought Jeff great joy to spend one on one moments with his sons, having breakfast on Sunday mornings, fishing and watching the Cedar Rapids Kernels play baseball. Most importantly, Jeff loved spending time with the love of his life, Laurie.  They were united in marriage on June 8th, 1985, in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Jeff is survived by his wife Laurie (Ramsey) Jasper; his mother, Mary Turnis; children Jonathan (Alyssa) Jasper of Urbandale, IA, Matthew Jasper of Tiffin, IA, and David Jasper of Iowa City, IA; sister Jan Jasper of Marion, IA, brothers Scott (Susan) Jasper of Sherman, TX and Jamie (Kathy) Jasper of Central City, IA; and grandchildren Adalyn and Sawyer Jasper, children of Jonathan and Alyssa.

Preceding in his passing are his father, Laurence Jasper and brother Eric Jasper.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mary Ann Nelson, as well as the nurses and physicians that cared for Jeff at Mercy Medical Center.
