Vi and family - you likely don't remember me, but I will never forget Wendell. Wendell took a chance on me in 1978 and gave me my very first professional job, right out of high school and completely untested in most aspects of the world. Wendell made sure I attended night classes in electronics and he proceeded to teach me electrical theory that to this day has given me a unique understanding of this branch of physics, and I NEVER would have succeeded in this field if not for Wendell. This year I retired from Collins as a Sr Engineering Manager, and again, I owe all this, as well as my entire 45 year path in electronics to the start that Wendell gave me. My four years at the radio and TV shop were some of my favorite memories, and so many stories' still told today originated from that small shop....I always look for it when I am downtown and I smile to see it still standing each time. RIP Wendell.

Vi and family,
What can I say, Wendell was a very special person and a joy to talk to. We had many great meetings and discussions. He was a very talented person and a man who appreciated honesty and he became a true friend. Vi, you and Wendell were so gracious to Ethel and I by remembering our anniversaries, birthdays and holidays! Wendell and you were one of my favorite people and I will certainly miss him.
Ethel and I send our heartfelt condolences and prayers at this difficult time for your family. With love and affection,
Dave and Ethel Knutson

Tears fill my eyes as I try to imagine the pain and loss that you are feeling now.
Wendell was a wonderful, special person, and you two filled our hearts with so much joy throughout the years that we spent together at Sandy Beach.
Love knows no end. God bless you.❤️❤️

Wendell was one of the most interesting people on the planet. Though I didn't see him often, when I did it always left an impact on me. Rest in peace Wendell.
