Margery Ellen (Wallace) Yanecek, Age 96, of Marion, IA passed away at the Northbrook Manor Care Center in Cedar Rapids, IA on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
A private interment will take place at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Forest Lawn on Monday, November 13, 2023.
Margery was born on May 14, 1927, in Bethel, MN. She was the daughter of the late Glenn and Margaret (Samuel) Wallace. She grew up in Ida Gove, IA before moving to Marion, IA where she has resided since.
Those left to cherish Margery’s memory are her children, Gary Engelking, of Deltona, FL, and Danny Yanacek of Marion, IA; her grandchildren, Robert Engelking, of Fredericksburg, VA, and Mindy Hotard, of Waggaman, LA; her siblings, Glenn (Cherie) Wallace, of Marion, IA, and Margaret Turner of Garland, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a grandchild, Christopher Engelking.
The family wants to thank the entire staff at the Northbrook Care Center for all the love and support they showed Margery while she was in their care.
