Cheryl I’m very sorry for your loss and pray for your peace and comfort. Good Ol Uncle Ronnie, I did lots of my firsts with Ronnie. I have so many fond memories with him from playing pool, poker, boating, mini-bikes, scuba diving, and so many other awesome things, oh yeah and Atari we would play Grand Prix a racing game (well because if your a Cook you got racing in your blood) he would really get wound up when I’d beat him! I’m sure he would practice and wait for me to come visit thinking he’d beat me but to no avail! I could go on and on with all the great memories with my uncle Ronnie. He was the coolest uncle ever!

To Cheryl and family we are so very, very sorry. Ron was a very accomplishment man and fun to be around. He will be forever missed. With our deepest sympathy. May Ron RIP.

Ron was the most kind, generous, funny and sentimental man. As a brother-in-law, he was always there for Dean and I. He had a very special bond with our oldest son, Steve. They were truly kindred souls and enjoyed each other's company! After Dean passed away, Ron called Steve after every Hawkeye football to debrief. He will truly be missed by us all.

I did not know Ron personally, but am related to his wife, Cheryl. After reading his obit, I see that he was an accomplished, purposeful man. I am happy that he and Cheryl had many years together. We extend our sympathies to Ron’s family. Kathy (Abel) and David Stauffer

I worked with Ronnie at GWAEA for many years. He taught me so much about things concerning maintenance and life in general. We developed a good friendship and he was my best man in my wedding in 1992, his birthday just so happened to be on the same day! Ronnie enjoyed very old country music, and he used to say every now and again, "Boy, you're going to drive me to drinking, if you don't stop driving that hotrod Lincoln." Ronnie was always a pleasure to be around, and I was saddened to find out that he had passed away. I will miss ol' Ronnie Bob.

I knew Ronnie through working with him at Grant Wood AEA. To know Ronnie was to love him. We used to play tricks on each other at work. He was so kind, funny and generous - one of the best men I have ever known. He and his wife made such a wonderful couple. He will be missed!
