My deepest sympathies to your entire family. While working for Joan, I got to know the family very well through stories. She loved you all immensely and was very proud of her family. Some of the things I loved most about Joan was her cheerful tone of voice and smile & the way she would laugh with her sisters or granddaughter when they visited. She always tried to stay positive no matter what. She was a good woman and had a strong faith in God, and I loved her dearly. Much love to all of you! ????

Joe, Holly and Joey,
So many happy memories at your place in Robin's, at the Schmidt's house, Deer View Rd, our place on Sugar Pine Dr, metro football and the girls cheer leading ... always laughter, always fun! Holding you all in warm thoughts and prayers . Thankful Holly and Joe to see you at Cedar Memorial.

Joe and family, we were so sad to learn of Joan's passing. Another good person taken from us but she is in a good place. We have many great memories of friendship with you and Joan, both here in Cedar Rapids as well as Missouri. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you begin a new chapter in your life. Blessings to the entire Grissel family.
