Memorial
Kenneth John Happel, 90, of Marion, died Thursday November 24, 2022, in Winslow House Care Center. A visitation will be held on Tuesday November 29, 2022, from 3-5 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his children; Gary (Jo) Happel, Rick (Deb) Happel, Rod (Cindy) Happel, Stacy (Mark) Nolan, Kendall (Conni) Happel, and Tom (Laurie) Happel, Brenda (Bob) DeCamp, a brother, Jim Happel. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 15.75 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Donna Happel.
Ken was born December 22, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Albert and Ruth (Rickels) Happel. He married Donna Zimmerman on July 22, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ken was a supervisor for Rockwell Collins. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan and played slow pitch softball many years.
