Tina, Wayne and the Maddy family. We wanted to extend our sincere sympathy to you all. We have known Dale for over 30 years and he was a wonderful man. He will be definitely missed. Thoughts and prayers to you all.

Condolences to Tina and my Gordon Maddy cousins. I was so sorry to learn of Dale’s death. I had just received birthday greetings from him. The last time I saw him, he, Becky and I talked into the wee hours at the farm. I do miss our annual family get-togethers. I’m hoping it will be possible to attend/view Dale’s service virtually. My heart goes out to you all.

My wife Barbara and I want to extend our sympathy and Condolences to Dales's family and friends. I also was a shipmate of Dale's in OE Division onboard USS Kearsarge (CVS-33) 1967 - 69. This was my first assignment in the Navy and I'm glad Dale wrote about those exciting times in his book, It memorializes special memories of a war and time now long past. Dale lived a giving and productive life, and the world is little less at his leaving. Fair winds and following seas Shipmate!

We are sorry to hear of Dale's passing and want to extend our sincerest sympathy to Dale's daughter Tina, the Maddy Family and friends. We knew Dale from stories Roy told of their experiences while serving together on the USS Kearsarge. The photos Roy had taken of Dale and their shipmates and conversations that I had with Dale on the phone and emails as he was writing his book. Dale was a remarkable individual and I will miss the emails he would send of his adventures. We will remember him as fondly as Roy did. Cheryl, Ginni and Christie Moruss

Sorry to hear about Dale‘s passing, I worked with Dale for many years at Agri Nutrition Consulting. Deepest sympathy to Tina and the rest of his family.

Sorry to hear of Dale's early passing. We served together briefly on the USS Kearsarge CVS 33. Dale was always a gentleman, curious and interested in wide range of topics, especially people. R.I.P. Shipmate

My wife Barbara and I want to extend our sympathy and Condolences to Dales's family and friends. I also was a shipmate with Dale and Barry In Electronics division aboard the Kearsarge CVS-33 in 1968 and 1969 and shared many experiences with him as well. Dale, C. V. and I were officers of the USS Kearsarge Association and continued to have Great times together. He will be Greatly Missed! Bill Hollywood, ETR 2 Secretary / Treasurer USS Kearsarge Association

My wife Lynda and I want to express our sympathy and condolences to Dale's family and friends. Dale and I were shipmates aboard the USS Kearsarge CVS 33 from 1967 through 1969 and had many experiences together. After leaving the Navy it wasn't until 2016 that Dale and I reconnected at a USS Kearsarge Association Reunion where we told "sea stories" about all those experiences. Some embellishment may have been involved. Dale was a true patriot, and I will truly miss him. Barry Rittle, ETN 2, Vice President, USS Kearsarge Association

On behalf of Dale's USS KEARSARGE and Association Shipmates, I extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to his family and friends. Dale was a PROUD U.S, Navy Sailor who was very much liked and respected by all who knew him. His contributions to all veterans was exceptionally noteworthy and made a significant impact especially on the success of The USS KEARSARGE (CVS 33) Association. He will be greatly missed and rest in our memories forever. "FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS SHIPMATE DALE". C.V. Lindley, MCPO USN (Ret.) President, USS KEARSARGE Association
