Austin David Ohrt, Age 29, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at his home on January 21, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 26 from 4 to 7 PM. A memorial service will be held at the Bethany Lutheran Church on Friday, January 28 at 11 AM with the Pastor Mike Erickson officiating. The family asks that everyone coming to the services to please wear a mask, and follow social distancing protocols. A private family inurnment will be held at the Garrison Cemetery.
Austin was born on August 28, 1992 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of Joshua and Nicole (Struck) Ohrt. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycle rides with his family. Austin was actively involved in activities at Metro Harley Davidson and the 620 Foundation. Austin was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He also loved participating and volunteering through The Arc in Cedar Rapids.
Those left to cherish Austin’s memory are his parents; his brother, Christian (Sydney Franklin) Ohrt, of Cedar Rapids, IA; nephews, Storm and Oz Ohrt; his grandparents, Jessica Charlson and Steven Struck; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Austin was preceded in death by several grandparents and great-grandparents.
