Memorial
Ronald W. Miller, 76, of Cedar Rapids died Tuesday December 22, 2015 at his home. Services with military rites at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM on Monday.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, two daughters, Brenda (Ryan) Greene of Vinton and Rhonda (Dan) Hartman of Cedar Rapids; a sister Adrienne Zimmerman of Cedar Rapids, two brothers Richard (Ginette) of Mission Viejo, California and Larry (Meredith) of Altoona. He is also survived by five grandchildren Justin, Nathan, Roxanne, Abarham and Brandon. He was preceded in death by two brothers Norman and Lanny, two sisters Nadine and Donna and a granddaughter Jessica.
Ron was born on September 13, 1939 in Cedar Rapids the son of Adrian and Helen Miller. He married Marjorie L. Hartong on July 5, 1962 in Cedar Rapids.
Ron worked at Cherry Burrell in assembly for over 40 years, retiring in 2001. He was the President of U.A.W Local 1024 for nine years.
Ron enjoyed playing golf, softball, boating, camping and especially the time spent with his beloved family and many friends. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
