I JUST found out about your Dad today! I was going thru the obits from CM and saw this. SO sorry to hear about Tom. ALL of you played a big part in my life growing up on Knollwood and 5th Ave. I hope all you Chadima kids are doing well and I wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you all today. Many times I wish I could go back to those days playing kick the can or baseball in Anderson Park.

First of all, my sincerest condolences and sympathies to the family and friends of Tom. I first met Tom when working as a Skogman Realtor and we hit it off together. He asked me to get involved with the Rovers Run program which he loved so much. How could I resist that great smile? After leaving Skogman I would only get to see Tom at various social or Realtor events. That smile on greeting him could light up a room. Tom, I am so sorry I didn't get a chance to see you before you, but I can tell you that every time I feel the warmth of the sunshine, you will be remembered and prayed for along with your family and friends. Rest in peace brother! Bobert

A BIG hug to the ALL the Chad's . . . your dad was the nicest guy. I will never forget the great years around "Acorn Park" and all the great neighbors I was lucky to grow-up with. My sorrow is with you . . . my smile is in happiness for having known Tom. God Bless you!

Coleen; I remember fun times with you and your family and your Dad being right in the middle of it all. Please know that I am sending special prayers your way.

Carol and family, Come to find out my Grandfather worked for Hubbard Ice way back! Small world! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

My condolences to your family. To Carla and family, may God give you peace during this time. My thoughts and Prayers are with you.

Joyce and Bryan McPartland join me in extending condolence to Tom's family. He was a good friend, beginning at Franklin. He was an Iowa Alpha Phi Psi a few years behind me. We had many good talks about high school, college and life.

Dear Chadima's, I am very sorry about the passing of your father. He helped raise and support wonderful children, grand and great grand children that became an important and positive part of his community and former school. I am very grateful to be friends of your family and to have met such a compassionate father and citizen. Knowing now how much he loved dogs and golf also I only wish I had known him better. Sincere condolences, Joe Kells

We sure have fond memories of Tom and he was always taking care of us Sorensen's. He always called to wish mom and dad happy anniversary, even the year we were on vacation in Denmark (of course he arranged food, beverage, and flowers too). Visiting your huge/gorgeous house in Orlando as a teenager is a fun memory too. Whenever we came back to Cedar Rapids, we always got the hero's welcome from him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. There sure are lots of good times to remember. God bless you all.

Tom has left us now but with fond memories of a friendship started in the 7th grade at Franklin. We grew up together and then our families grew up together. We had good times with lots of fun----- Never to be forgotten.. I was really fortunate to have him as one of my best friends over the years. At this time my thoughts are with you " kids" remember the good times! As ever, Rich

My deepest condolences to your family on the passing of Tom. May he rest in peace. He was a delight to have known. God rest his soul.

To the entire Chadima family I am so sorry for your loss. May you somehow find some peace in your fathers passing.

Our family has been connected to the Chadima family since my brother and he became good friends at Franklin. I took care of 2 of their kids for afew years and our parents were close to all their children. Tom always had a great smile and loved to pull fun pranks on his friends. He loved his kids and our prayers go out to all the family.

We will always remember Tom's pickles and the big smile he always had when he brought them around. He was truly a good friend to a lot of people and will be missed.
