Duane L. Ingamells, 82 of Cedar Rapids died at his home on Saturday February 8, 2014. Services with military rites at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday.

Survivors include two daughters, Barb(Scott) Cram of Shellsburg and Karen (Charlie) Summerville of Brunswick, Georgia; two brothers, Eldon (Wilda) of Stanley and Lynn of Oelwein; and two sisters, Sharon Fleener of Eldora and Audrey Andrews of Ocala, Florida. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Kyle and Kaylee Edwards. He was preceded in death by his two wives, a son Gary, sister Shirley and a brother Earl.

Duane was born on January 31, 1932 in Aurora the son of Kyle and Hazel King Ingamells. He married Ione Hatch in 1956 in Oelwein. She passed away in 1978. He later married Judith Welsh in 1979 in Cedar Rapids. She passed away in 2011.

Duane was an engineering tech at Rockwell-Collins and retired from there after more than 37 years of service. He was a faithful member of Olivet Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and volunteered many hours. He also served in the Army from 1951 to 1954 and was in Korea for one year.  

He enjoyed travel, fishing and outdoor activities. Duane was always willing to lend a hand to any one that needed help. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
