Stacy, Mrs Martin, and Family-
I'm so saddened to hear that Dave's "final race" has ended. I remember meeting Dave for the first time in 1961 in Miss Ogren's First Grade class at Monroe. So many years ago.
I'm reminded of a passage from Saint Paul's 2nd letter to Timothy, chapter 4: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith..." Dave truly has done all of these things and now he is in The Nearer Presence of God.
May your fond memories of Dave sustain you through this time of great loss.

We have lost a great friend, runner, family man, and a man of God. He was a gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew him. Will miss seeing him on the road and paths--doing his thing--gentle running style, and deep in thought and prayer.

Stacy, Joe, Samantha and rest of the Martin and Severa families, we are saddened by the loss of Dave. He was an excellent example of what it is to be a great leader, teacher and human being. He is greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Although we may not be with you in person, due to health concerns, know that we are with you in thoughts and spirit.

Dave was very wonderful. He has been a blessing to us and to all the lives that he "touched"/shared time with during his life. Please know all of the family is in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.

Dick and I are very sorry to hear about the death of Dave. Dick always enjoyed talking to him when he would come over to your house and trim your trees. And also watching the two of you run past our house almost daily with your two dogs. He is now at peace and no more pain and you need to just continue to remember all the good times you had with him.
