Memorial

Barbara Jo Karr, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, September 24, 2026. She was born on December 5,1949, the daughter of the late Roy and Joyce (Franzenburg) Vargason. 

In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated, and a private graveside service was held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons Bill (Joan) of Cedar Rapids and Jeff (Chris) of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, McKayla, Madison, and Beau (Jocelyn); nine siblings, and extended loving family members. 

Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Shirley Fasbender.
