Marcia (Dyal) Lewis, 74, of Palo, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 27, 2026. A celebration of life will be held from 4:00–7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, 4200 First Avenue NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Marcia was born on December 5, 1951, to Roger and Norma Dyal. She was united in marriage to Lee Lewis, and together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and love. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2025.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Lewis; her daughter, Cathy (Max) Bucklin of Marion, Iowa; her beloved grandchildren, Rylie and Gabe; her mother, Norma Dyal; her brother, Al (Kim) Dyal of Chandler, Arizona; and her brother-in-law, John (Peggy) Lewis of Shellsburg, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ryan; her father, Roger Dyal; and her sister, Vicki.

Marcia dedicated many years of her career to St. Luke’s Hospital, where she worked as an x-ray technologist before retiring. She took pride in her work and the care she provided to others. Marcia was a dedicated 4-H leader and fair judge for many years. She loved volunteering and was always involved in supporting the activities her children participated in.

She found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life: reading, quilting, sewing, and life on the farm. Marcia enjoyed traveling with Lee during retirement and attending concerts and musicals. She especially loved spending time with her dog, Maisie. She lovingly quilted baby blankets for many family members and friends, a gift that will be cherished for years to come.

Above all, Marcia cherished her time with her grandchildren. She rarely missed their soccer and football games, and her voice could always be heard from the sidelines, cheering them on with pride and love.

Marcia will be remembered for her fierce independence, loyalty, strength, and unwavering love for her family.
