It was with great sadness that we saw Bruce's obituary. We have such fond memories of our times together. Whether it was traveling for tennis, going to Bodega Bay, the wine country or just simple dinners in each others homes. What laughs and warmth we shared!

My first job after I moved to Cedar Rapids in 1983 was, at Bruce McGrath Pontiac.
I really enjoyed the camaraderie of my coworkers.
I've since worked for McGrath Chevyland, and first met his brother Pat & nephew Gavin.
The McGrath's were really great to work for.

We were so sorry to learn Bruce has passed away. We have wonderful memories with Bruce and Judy-traveling to Bodega Bay, Naples and the big “China’s Greatest Hits Tour”. Bruce
Bruce was a dear friend and client; he was an attendant at our wedding. Bruce was always a family man devoted to his religion. He was thoughtful, honest, kind and always a gentleman.
Bruce loved to tell jokes on himself. Marty remembers him as a tennis player who took up golf. He was always an optimistic golfer-even in the sand trap.

Dearest Judy and family: our hearts are heavy learning about Bruce’s passing. We talked with Bruce a few weeks ago and we’re looking forward to getting together.

I did business with Bruce and HB both, way back when the Center Point Rd building was new, when I was with First Trust & Savings Bank. I haven't seen Bruce for some years but he was always great to deal with. My condolences to the family!

My husband, Gary, and I became good friends with Bruce and Judy when they lived at Water Tower Place.. We enjoyed many lunches and dinners out with them and then when my husband moved to assisted-living at Hallmar and Bruce and Judy we continued to get together. I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to go to the funeral or reception. I only just heard of his passing. I am so sorry; please accept our deepest sympathies.

I’m sending Bruce’s family and close friends the deepest sympathy. I’m the facilitator of the 10 am Men’s Caregiver Group at the Mercy Caregivers Center. Bruce was a valued member of our group and the love and concern he had for his wife Judy and his children was obvious. He shared some of his history as a businessman and community leader, and the beautiful obituary shows what a talented and involved person he was. The men in our group will miss him greatly.
