She later worked for various cleaning companies throughout the years, taking great pride in her work and always giving her best. She found joy in life’s simple blessings and especially loved going for walks, reading her Bible, learning poems, and knitting. Ekaterina’s quiet faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life and a source of strength, comfort, and encouragement to those who knew her.

Survivors include her brother, Nikolay Kalyushik of Cedar Rapids, along with his family: Marina Kalyushik; Dmitriy Kalyushik; Alex Kalyushik; Viktoriya Kalyushik; Eli Kalyushik (Albina, Alex, and Aiden Kalyushik); and Margarita Nochvay (Oleg, Isaiah, and Ezra Nochvay).
