Memorial

Andrew Michael Gleason, 32, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. In honor of Andrew, the family requests that you wear casual attire. 

Andrew was born on December 13, 1993, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the beloved son of Brian Gleason and Tammie Pospisil. He was a proud graduate of Marion High School, Class of 2012. Andrew furthered his education at Kirkwood Community College, where he was enrolled in the Auto Tech Program.

Though Andrew’s professional path took him through various endeavors, his true calling shone brightest in his personal life and the hobbies he enjoyed. He especially loved fishing, playing guitar, working with RC cars, and tinkering in the garage. Andrew was also a long-time and dedicated member of the CR BMX community.

But Andrew’s greatest love was his two children, Arlo and Charli, who were truly the light of his world. As a father, Andrew was devoted, protective, and deeply loving.

Andrew’s legacy lives on through his children, Arlo and Charli Gleason, and their mother, Brandi Gleason; his parents, Brian (Valerie) Gleason and Tammie (Eric) Pospisil; his brothers, Austin (Taylor) Gleason and Adam Gleason; his sisters, Kelsey (Kaden) Pospisil and Kaylen Pospisil; his grandparents, Ray (Mary) Gleason, Sharon McDermott, and Ken (Barb) Pospisil; and his aunts, Lisa Gleason and Trish (Pete) Peddicord; and his furry companion, Rylee (she was his right hand man/pup). He is also survived by many friends and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Dean McDermott and an uncle, Jeff McDermott.
