Andy L Dergo, 78, of Marion, IA, passed away April 13,2026 at his home. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm, April 21, 2026, in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of the Cross.  Family and friends are welcome to join.

Andy was born in Cedar Rapids, IA. February 21,1948 to Andrew and Hildred Dergo. Andy graduated from Washington High School, Cedar Rapids Iowa in 1967. He went into a career as a Welder at Iowa Manufacturing. In 1968 Andy enlisted into the Army and served three years. Andy was a proud veteran.

On May 18,1968 he was united in marriage to Susan Sparenborg. Andy is survived by his wife Susan of Marion. Son Brian Andrew Dergo of Cedar Rapids. Daughter-in-law Anne (Thompson) Dergo of Cedar Rapids. Sister-in-law Sandy Sparenborg of Cedar Rapids, Brother-in-law Steve Sparenborg of Poolesville, MD. Andy was proceeded in death by his parents. 
Andy had a passion for Blues music and was dedicated to the Linn County Blues Society for many years and served several different board positions. He loved overseeing the merchandise at the annual Blues Festivals.

Andy will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
