Mary Lou Van Cleve

Born on Aug 26, 1930
Departed on Sep 19, 2025

I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I think of the years I spent with her and with you guys, they were a very special part of my growing up. I really wish I could be there, but I'm back working and am working at a school with special ed kids. So I'm working with Junior High age children and just can't get away. I just started this job a month ago. I am thinking of you all I love you all and again I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing

Joseph and family, I am sorry for your loss.

Mary Lou was more than a secretary to our dad, Maurice Breen. He was very fond of her and we attended her wedding. She was always very kind and thoughtful to all the Breen kids, especially those of us who came to hang out at the office after school at Regis. May she rest in eternal peace.

Sorry for your loss, thinking of you during this difficult time.

To all of us fortunate adopted sons of Mary Lou, we knew her as “Mom” and she earned it! With a ready smile, the charity and willingness to laugh with us, and the gut-check honesty to laugh at us, it was an honor to be a friend to her kids, and a wayward unofficial stepson to her and the Doc! Sliante! Jake Brian A. Jacobs , MD South Bend, IN LaSalle HS ‘80

Your mom was always smiling! She had such a positive attitude! I feel blessed that I knew her! Keeping you all my prayers!
