I met Ron back in the Cedar Rapids Home Show Days. We used to call ourselfs booth buddies. We were all younger business owners supporting each other in totally different fields. Lots of beers were drank after those shows. Lots of laughs! I recently saw Ron at the Casino..he saw me first and with beer in hand hand and a smile on his face , he leaned over and said " Are yah winning?, I love that machine" it tickled me. Im so very very sorry for your loss. What a great guy. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. So hard to believe. Just a Great Guy!

I wasn't particularly close with Ron and it had probably been over 30 years since I'd last seen him yet I was still saddened to hear of his passing. When you think of certain people a smile just naturally crosses your face, Ron was one of those kind of people. It was a pleasure to know him and my deepest condolences to his family and friends.

We were so shocked and truly saddened to learn the news of Ron's untimely passing. Ron was a gem of a man. He was always so helpful and courteous over the years. He gave us great advice, and knew just what to do, or supply the parts for our loved 1939 home. He always treated us like friends. Our most sincere condolences to the family and staff at Valenta

Sorry for the loss of Ron. I will miss the mans understanding of small business and the willingness to go out of his way to run up the road to GoldenTrainer to knock out things that may arise. Shooting the bull and having a go to guy will be missed.

Ron. I am going to miss you just like so many will. I was thinking about how easy it was to talk to you and the same for me. We had a lot of fun over the years. And I know how you didn't like the name Rondum. But we had a good laugh over that. I can't attend the service . As I am out of town. But you know I am thinking about you Renee and your boys as well. Until we see each other again old buddy.

Mary and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Ron's sudden passing. Our condolences to his family and friends. I just spoke with Ron recently to set up some work at our home. I was just thinking about Ron recently. My husband and I owned a small apartment building in CR for many years and called Ron when we needed help. Then I started calling him about our house in Mount Vernon, too. One day I called him to say we needed a new toilet at our house. Here's how the conversation went -- Ron: "Sara what brand of toilet do you have now?" Me: "It's a Kohler." Ron: "Do you want another Kohler or do you want a toilet that works?" Me (already laughing): "Gee Ron I think I want a toilet that works." Ron: "Then you need a Toto." And he was right, as usual. It was always great to work with Ron because of his intelligence and his sense of humor. I know you will miss him. My sympathy to you.

I am truly saddened to learn of Ron's passing. He was a great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. ❤️💕
