My deepest condolences to Niñon , Jennifer and Mrs. Nuñez.
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Niñon at Rockwell Collins for several years.
When I first saw her I said, Mrs. Nuñez, when did you start working at Rockwell. She laughed and said, in such a sweet way, “No, no, no, Teresita is my sister… Mrs. Nuñez was my Spanish teacher at Harding.
I am so glad I was able to enjoy her company for so long. She was so kind and loving but she would stand her ground.
She once told me of a Union representative at Rockwell coming around and I think was handing out information of who they were supporting in an election. I think she scared him with her response…She let him know firmly that “NO ONE tells me who to vote for! I came from Cuba and no one will ever tell me who to vote for! “
You Go Girl!!!
Niñon and Jennifer,
Your mother was so proud of you both!
She would tell me of how hard you worked and all of your accomplishments.
I am so saddened by her passing.
