Randy Brown (Armstrong), age 69, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on May 16th, 2025.

Randy was born on May 19th, 1955, in Iowa City to Glen and Barbara (Armstrong) Brown. He dedicated more than 50 years of his life to a career as a truck driver, known for workin' his ass off, always thinkin’, his love of starting new hobbies, dependability, and quiet strength.

He is survived by his loving wife, DeAnn (DeDe) Brown; daughters Christine Hagerman (and David Hagerman) of Shellsburg, Iowa, and Tracey Petersen (and Jimmy Martin) of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren Dawn Becker (and Corey Becker) of Marion, Iowa, Austin Dreckman (and Felicia Dreckman) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa,  Taylor Dreckman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Meghan Dreckman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Brooklyn Petersen of Wichita, Kansas; and great-grandchildren Lilliana Dreckman, Xavior Dreckman, and Jinora Dreckman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Barbara Brown; his daughter, Barbara Brown; his brother, Glen Brown Jr.; and his grandparents, Glen and Dorothy Armstrong.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22nd, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, May 23rd, at 1:30 p.m., at The Cedar Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow in the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, as Randy would say “weeds”, the family requests, any financial donations be made to DeAnn and family.  
A luncheon reception will be held at Randy’s home following the burial. 

Randy will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and profession, and for the countless miles he traveled with heart, purpose, and love.
