Memorial

Beatrice Marie Johnson 94, of Cedar Rapids Iowa, entered the gates of Heaven on May 4, 2025. Funeral services will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Thursday May 8, at 12pm. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.   

Beatrice was born on September 10,1930, in Mason City Iowa, the daughter of Anthony and Micaela (Gutierrez) Botello. She attended Sacred Heart School in Manley Iowa and helped care for her siblings while growing up. She had a strong faith in the Lord. Beatrice later moved to Cedar Rapids Iowa where she raised her family.  She had a special place in her heart for helping others in need.  She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. Her entire life was dedicated to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  There are not enough words to say how much she was loved. She will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

She is survived by her four daughters, Susie Gonzalez-Schliemann (Bob), Carol Gonzales, Diana Robertson, Monica Johnson, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sons, Scott Johnson of Cedar Rapids; and Roger Gonzalez of Anamosa Iowa; Seventeen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; and one Sister, Mary Lou Hoag of Decorah Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was proceeded in death by her parents; son, Albert Gonzalez; brothers, Ramon, Fritz, Armando and Joseph Botello; sisters, Solada Botello, Mary Davis, Bonnie Lederle, Carmen Cisneros and Rose Patterson.

The family extends a special thanks to Bonnie K Meyer, (niece) for the exceptional care that she helped provide for our Mother during her time of need.
