Shirley is greatly missed at Summit Pointe. She had a kindness that is rare. She always gave me compliments, a great smile, and made me feel welcome to visit her and Joy in her apartment. She had a sense of humor, asking when she could take off her wig during exercise class. She even welcomed my large dog when she had her beloved birds loose. I am blessed to have met her and my heart goes out to her family

I loved Shirley. She was so charming and funny and just lovely to be around. I could sit and talk to her any time, and she shared her interesting history and thoughts with me. I will miss her sweet smile. My heart goes out to her family. There is no loss quite like losing your mother.

I came to know the Mincey family as a little girl, and we had some great times together. As an adult, I bonded with Shirley over her love of animals and our mutual questions about our universe. She was always a bright loving light to those around her.

My have my deepest condolences. I got to know Shirley while caring for her at Summit Pointe. She was always so kind and welcoming as was her family. It was an honor to know and care for her

Very sorry to hear that Shirley has passed. We enjoyed decades living next door to Shirley & Harold. They were good friends, neighbors and occasionally pet sitters. Harold & Shirley worked hard to keep the bird feeders full in the back yard, and the deer appreciated their efforts! Lots of good memories thru the years. One time Shirley asked us to keep an eye on the house while they traveled and when to expect them home… my husband was also gone this night. Molly was a toddler and we went on an errand and noticed lights on as we left. When we came back, different lights were on, so I called to verify they were home… no answer. I couldn’t go check with my child, couldn’t leave her alone to check, so I called the cops. I watched them go in ( I had a key) guns drawn from my window, there was even a helicopter overhead! When the police came back to my house to assure me all was in place and the dogs…..Dogs were home! Harold & Shirley had come home early, dropped off the pets and stuff and gone out to see a movie. All was well and a good laugh. Thank you CRPD. Miss you Shirley, rest in peace. Gail. Tom passed on Christmas

Jeff, Neil, Joy & family. I’m very sorry for the loss of your mother. Mom ( grandmother)holds your hearts forever, and left loving each of you. I hope you are able to share stories, her love for you and some tears at this sad time. Gail

So very sorry to hear of your loss. I was privileged to know Shirley at Summit Pointe and have her as my neighbor. What a delightful and sweet lady and I will miss her. When Mom and I moved in Shirley found out Mom played bridge and got her involved with that which Mom loved because she had been playing for years. So many good memories. Barb Holt
