William Ivan Schultz, 81, of Robins, passed away at home June 11, 2025, with his family by his side. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 16, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hiawatha. Interment will follow at Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.

Born November 18, 1943, in Waverly, Iowa to Harlan and Loretta (McGraw) Schultz, Bill lived in the Clermont and Cresco areas growing up. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Cresco then joined the Army and was stationed in Japan.  He worked at Collins Radio for about 45 years.  In 1971, Bill married Patricia Peterson, in Marion. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later, he took up woodworking; he especially enjoyed building bird houses and feeders.   He and Pat sold the houses and feeders at farmers markets around the area. He also enjoyed yardwork and doing sudoku puzzles.

Bill is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter, Jenni Allamand; grandsons, Jacob Schultz, Devon Allamand; siblings, Mary Ryan, Jane Anderson and John Schultz.  He was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Schultz; parents; siblings, Harlan Schultz, Jr., Dale Schultz, Paul Schultz, and Joy Aukofer-Dalpini.

Bill’s family would like to thank the medical staff in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City for the wonderful care they gave Bill.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
