As children Gloria and I went to Mt. Vernon school together. Although we didn’t know each other well Gloria always seemed to be a very sweet and wonderful person. I’m very sad to hear of her passing. Suki and I wish Gloria’s family and friends peace at this difficult time. Rest assured that Gloria’s spirit lives on.

Gloria was always the fun aunt in our family. She was always ready with a big bag of candies, pencils, and small toys for the kids to pick through. She loved swimming when all other adults said no. Even after I was grown, she was always ready to give goodies like a big bag of m&ms. She never gave up her spirit of giving small gifts to bring smiles. She was such a caring person and always wanted the best for everyone. My sister and I think of her almost every time we shop for clothes together, one of Gloria’s favorite pastimes. She will be missed and not forgotten.

Gloria, she was my favorite aunt. As a young kid, I looked forward to seeing her. She wasn’t like the other adults who would have boring adult conversations and put the kids at their own table. She wanted to be at the kid table: she brought us toys and she was goofy. She would say this thing all the time - whoobbooobooo. I can hear it in my mind. She would say “I’m a water aholic” because she drank so much water. She was fun and had a warm energy about her. When I go shopping with my sister we always wonder if Gloria would be proud of our clearance and floral print finds. She’d always share with us as kids all the good deals she found. I guess she trained us because we love to hunt for deals now a days. And forever we will shop and think of her. She made us smile. She will always make us smile. She can now be with her mom (grandma), her dad (grandpa) and brother (uncle) Steve. The ones who loved her the most and took care of her so good. I hope she has everlasting peace along side her family. Goodbye for now.
