I’m sorry to hear about this . i was gifted to know Jan while working at the birth care center for 15 years with her. she was a loving, caring, nurse, and a great lady! I’m so glad I had the chance to know her💕 we have lost a wonderful person, but Jesus has gained an amazing soul !

To Jan's family, I am so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person and I learned so much from her. She always had this fire for life! She will be missed!

Janet was my only sister. Nothing seemed hard for her, always challenged herself to do something new. Recipes, sewing, gardening. She was very shy growing up. After marriage to Tim, she bloomed. Scout leader, camping, children's sermons, and much more. When our parents were getting ready to need help. She drove herself from Iowa to Ohio. She always wanted to help others. Family was top of the list. Grandkids were the twinkle in her eye. This is just a small amount about my dear sister. Miss you Janet.

Janet and I have been close friends since the first day entering St. Lukes School Practical Nursing School in 1864. We were moving into our residence for the year as roommates. The residence was a beautifully restored mansion Averil House. We have always stayed in touch during the next years sharing many happy occasions. My sympathy to Tom, Rebecca, Heather,Holly and to their families Çarolyn.Moennich

We are so sorry for your loss ! Becky and our kathy were friends ! I think Jan took care of Kathy’s baby at St Luke’s after his birth Jan 28 2002 ! What a beautiful person and wonderful life she led !

In these moments, when there are no words, know that the ones we love remain beside us, now and always! Please accept my sincere condolences.

I am so sad to hear about Jan’s passing. She was wonderful to work with at the Birth Care Center. I learned a lot from her. She always had a smile and something pleasant to say.

I was able to get to know Jan through our Girl Scout alumnae group. She was always a positive person, friendly and warm with her beautiful smile. I imagine she was a wonderful Girl Scout leader! On behalf of our local council, Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, we send our deepest sympathies to your family.
