Vance C. Gregerson, age 85, passed away in Cedar Rapids, on Monday, February 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 9 AM until service time at 11 AM with the Certified Celebrant Randy Walton officiating. A livestream of the service will be available on the Cedar Memorial Park website under Vance’s obituary, under the video tab, starting on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11 AM. Interment will follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of the Last Supper. 

Vance was born on March 25, 1939, in Madison, South Dakota. He is the son of the late James and Ella (Trende) Gregerson. He served in the National Guard from 1956-1964. He married Linda Kahler on February 14, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  She preceded him in death on March 14, 1981.  On October 27, 1993, Vance married Merna Lou Evanson in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and a member of the El Kahir Shrine and the Jaycees. He was especially proud to be a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 125.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Merna; his children, Jeffrey (Gloria) Reynolds, Dalaine (Mike) Bartelme, Darryl (Nancy) Gregerson, Kandy (Eric) Pflughaupt, Jenny (Jim) Schmitz, Robert Evanson, and Tammy (Brad) Sherman; his grandchildren, Joshua and Christopher (Julia) Reynolds, Jaden and Warren Bartelme, Kaitlin and Max (Megan and Peyton Nelson) Gregerson, Ezra Hendelkin, Angus Pflughaupt, Abby, Wyatt, and Lily Schmitz, Shelby (Daden) Oberbrockling, Kalli and Kyla Sherman; his great-grandsons, Christian Reynolds and Axel Gregerson; his brothers, Jim (Marcy) Gregerson, Robert (Terry) Gregerson, and James Watson; and his sister, Kay (Randy) Black. 

The family would like to thank everyone who assisted with his care, especially Suncrest Hospice and Meals on Wheels.
