Sallyann Orf, age 87, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died December 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Keystone Assisted Living. Visitation will be at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on December 17 from 5 to 8PM with a vigil service starting at 7 PM, and at the St. Pius X Catholic Hall on December 18 from 10 to 11AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Pius X Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, officiated by Rev. Jon Seda, on December 18 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A luncheon to be held at the St. Pius X Parish Hall immediately after interment.

Sally was born February 26, 1938, to W. Wade Hardesty and Ellen Marie (Swain) Hardesty. She lived most of her life in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1956. She married Raymond John Orf on November 28, 1959, in Newhall, Iowa. He died in 1996. She was later married to Ronald Burnett on October 11, 2003 in Cedar Rapids.

For several years Sally was employed by Attorneys William Slade, Ted Ruffin, Kenneth Moon, and Maurice Nathanson. She was later hired by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1990 and retired from there in 2002.

Survivors include her three children, Michael Wayne (Nancy) Orf of Van Meter, Iowa, David Alan (Eve) Orf of Kansas City, Missouri, and Amy Sue (Joe Jakubiszyn) Orf of Ishpeming, Michigan; her six grandchildren, Michael John Orf, Melissa (Mason) Arnold, Justin Orf, and James (Jessie) Orf, all of Waukee, Iowa, Nolan (Andrew) Fehrenbach of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Olivia (William) Boeh of Gardner, Kansas; and four great-grandchildren, Kaycen Orf, Brooks Arnold, Scarlet Arnold, and Charlotte Orf, all of Waukee, Iowa. She is also survived by her husband Ronald Burnett of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Richard (Rita) Hardesty of Seffner, Florida and Michael Hardesty of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a stepson, Robert (Becky) Burnett, and step-grandson, Joshua Burnett, of Batavia, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Christine Herbert, of Norridge, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Frank Burnett, of Fremont, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepmother, Irma Hardesty; husband Raymond Orf; mother-in-law and father-in-law Lellis and Raymond Orf; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ragine and Ray Meade.

Sally had been a member of St. Pius X for over 60 years. Her greatest gifts from God were her faith, her loving family, and her many friends.
