Dear Family of Hoyt, I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Hoyt. Although I first met him by chance at Walmart three years ago, that moment turned into a relationship I will always be grateful for. As his health insurance advisor, I had the privilege of seeing him regularly — but our visits quickly became about more than just business. He often told me that God had a plan for us to meet, and I truly believe that. He became a source of wisdom, encouragement, and inspiration in my life. He shared stories about his days as a teacher and farmer that brought me joy and laughter, and he spoke of his family with such pride and love that I felt as though I knew each of you personally. He also had a gift for making Scripture come alive. He would take Bible verses and explain them in a way that made them easy to understand and apply. I always left our conversations with something to think about and a full heart. One of the things that touched me most was how humble and considerate he was. He never wanted to be a burden to anyone. His gentle spirit, faith, and kindness made a lasting impact on me — one I will carry with me always. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I hope you find peace and comfort in the love he gave so freely and the strong legacy of faith he leaves behind. With heartfelt condolences, Jo Rieck
