Ada M. Albaugh, 89, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday August 30, 2025, at Anamosa Care Center, following a very lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025, 11:00 am, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website under the obituary for Ada Albaugh under the video tab starting at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 9th. The visitation will begin one hour prior at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ada was born on August 28, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William and Ada (Gruwell) Osborne. She graduated from Roosevelt High School class of 54. Ada was united in marriage to Keith A Albaugh for 52 years until his death in 2008. She worked in Graphics at Collins/Rockwell for 30 years until her retirement. Ada was a member of New Beginnings Church and had a strong Christian faith, volunteering her sewing and craft skills for church craft shows and fundraisers.
Survivors include three sons, Gary (Donna) of Cedar Rapids, Gregory of Cedar Rapids and Bradley (Tammy) of Marion; nine grandchildren, Troy, Keri, Bryan, Tori (Jay), Taylor, Brady, Brent, Dustin (Mia) and Tara (Sam); a sister Sylvia Naibert (Donald) sister in-law Char Osborne, brother in-law Bob Knight and brother in-law Wallace Albaugh (Trudy).
Ada’s great grandchildren include; Ryla, Dani, Journey, Kylee, Kason, Hadley, River and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Keith, brother William (Bill) Osborne, sister Olivia Knight, nephew Bruce Knight, brother and sister in-law Ronald and Nancy Albaugh, sister in-law Brenda (Wallace) Albaugh and daughter in-law Reese (Greg) Albaugh.
Life, religion and family meant a lot to Ada. Ada was very proud of and spoke often about her Mother Ada, her Father William Dean, her siblings Bill (Char), Olivia (Robert), Sylvia (Donald), the Albaughs (in-laws) and all their families.
Ada was a very caring and generous donator to her church, our veterans and children’s charities. She was a very huge fan of her three son’s athletics and grandchildren’s school activities. So many memories include family trips and camping, Florida beaches, attending stock car races, watching high school football, attending baseball games and many trips to Bella Vista.
Ada’s family would like to thank the staff at Anamosa Care Center for the passionate care they gave to Ada and hospice Above and Beyond for her excellent care over the last several years. There are no words that can express our sincere appreciation.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association in Ada’s name.
