Rose Isabel (Wallin) Johnson, 96, of Cedar Rapids, went to her Heavenly home Thursday September 26, 2024. Graveside services are set for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday October 2, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Jay Jentink will officiate. The location for her same day small gathering will be announced at the service.

Rose was born October 19, 1927, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Johann and Linnea (Anderson) Wallin. She graduated from Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Frances “Fritz” Johnson on November 17, 1948, in Minneapolis in her grandparents home. Rose retired from Armstrong’s Department Store where she spent many years employed as a bookkeeper.  She was an active member of Hus Presbyterian Church and New Covenant Bible Church as well as a Christian woman’s organization. More recently she attended Calvary Baptist Church. Rose loved to read and to learn, so many things sparked her curiosity. Mom and Dad loved to travel. Their exploits took them to Canada, Great Britain, Scandinavia, and throughout the United States. Mom cherished her relationships with friends and family. She had a selfless heart and she welcomed everyone with open arms.

Survivors include her children; Lorilee Johnson, Jeannine (Robert) Malcom, Glenn Johnson, and Dayle (Michael) Lambrecht; adored grandchildren: Shannon Malcom, Erin Malcom, Desirae Stinson, Matthew Lambrecht. and precious great grandchildren: Oliver, Noah, Marleigh, Kennedy, Charlotte, Wyatt and Myles. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fritz, other loved family members and several dear friends.

Rose’s children would like to thank The Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon. for their loving care given to our mother during this last year.
