Memorial

Cynthia M. “Cindy” Sadecky, 83, of Cedar Rapids, passed away September 16, 2024. Visitation: 4-7 PM, Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private Graveside Service: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Cynthia was born on May 23, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Carl Northrup and Evelyn Hope Snyder. She was raised by her grandparents, Howard B. and Marie Snyder. Cynthia graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. She was married to Richard E. Sadecky for forty-eight years, until they divorced. Cynthia raised two children, Connie and Jeffery. She was an avid gardener and loved dogs. To that end, she was a dog trainer and operated CS Kennels. Cynthia loved living on a small farm outside of Fairfax, Iowa where she loved and cared for all living things.

Survivors include her children, Connie Poulson of Cedar Rapids and Jeffery Sadecky of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Madison Sadecky, Mickale Sadecky, Trinity Sadecky, and Richard Poulson; and great-granddaughter, Natalie Krumm.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Howard and Marie Snyder; mother, Evelyn and sister, Connie who passed away together.
