Memorial

Veronica Arlene Jandik, 80, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Cedar Memorial Park Stateroom.  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.  A burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Veronica was born on May 18, 1944, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Vione (Sargent) Brooks.  She graduated from Starmont High School in Strawberry Point, Iowa.  Veronica was employed at Rockwell Collins, Fansteel Inc., Walgreens, and Mercy Hospital.   Her hobbies included fishing, baking cookies, and playing cards.  

She is survived by her husband, Elmer Jandik; four children, Tracy Mosley, Ted (Tammy) Beliel, Triny Peek, and Tonia Beliel; two step-children, Garold (Becky) Jandik, and Brenda (Bill) Potter; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Verdis Feller, Verlene Kelly, Valjean Berg, Valetta Radlof, Vaylard Brooks, Vikki Welsh, and Victor Brooks, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Todd; two grandchildren, and three siblings, Vance, Verle, and Vincent; two brothers-in-law. 

Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.  When you think of Veronica, celebrate the good memories you have of her.
