I am so sorry to hear about John’s passing. We go way back when Jamie and Hillary were just babies. Jon, my husband, and John had so many adventures and laughs together including things we shouldn’t mention. My condolences to Jane and all the Hubler brothers and families. Know Jon and John are having a beer and a few laughs in heaven! So many stories!

He was my best friend.

This is numbing news for me. My condolences to Jane and the extended Hubler family. I have much respect and admiration for John. His demeanor, smile and attitude unparalleled. ❤️🤗🙏

The best Grandpa anyone could have asked for! He taught me how to be the best version of myself:) I love you forever and always❤️

God Bless Jane. God Bless John's mother and all of his brothers. He was a true friend of mine. The memories, ah the memories !!!! God Bless my friend John Hubler. Mary and Gary Widmann

Grandpa was an absolute amazing person and honorable man, someone all of us grandchildren looked up to. He was always so caring, loving and selfless. I love you so much. ❤️🙏🏻

Grandpa was the most kind hearted selfless person you could ever meet. He gave the best hugs and the best advice. He taught me everything I know. He will be so deeply missed. I love you grandpa. May you rest in peace.❤️🙏

John taught me so much about excellence and execution in the grocery business. When I was 19 years old he called me to his office and told me -kindly but directly- to get my act together. I will never forget that conversation. He was a great one. RIP, John and blessings to all your family during this sad time.

He was the nicest store manager! He was always friendly & approachable. In football I was to tackle him. I was a senior & he was a freshman. He got up smiling. We were friends ever since.

So sorry for your loss! He used to visit the Mount Vernon Road Hy-vee as a customer. I would often joke 😃 with him as he would come through my line.

Dear Jane , You and John have been wonderful friends to Neil and myself. It was always a pleasure to golf with you and John. You made our home in Marion a better place for sure. He will be missed. I am thinking of you. Donnie

Uncle John, I’m saddened by the news of your passing but grateful you are not in pain any longer. I’ll always remember the times we spent in Havasu with you and Aunt Jane - on your boat, off-roading, having a couple of beers, etc. You are one of the reasons I fell in love with Arizona. Your generosity and kindness is something I truly admire. You’ll be missed. Love Grant and Angelina ❤️

This was such a shock to hear of John’s passing. He was my absolute favorite boss at HyVee. That man knew how to run a store with love and kindness to all. The customers and workers all loved and respected him. My sympathy goes out to his whole amazing family in their loss.

Jane, Jamie, Hilary and family, Sending prayers and comforting hugs. We are so sorry for your loss. RIP John Lloyd and Jo

John was a lifelong friend dating back to our Marion Little League days and teammates on the Linn-Mar baseball team. A generous man and friend he hired me full-time @ the Marion Hy-Vee in 2004 during a difficult time for me in need of employment with 2 children in college. I was honored and privileged to call him my friend!

Dearest Jane, John truly was a wonderful man. Memories together with both you and John we shall cherish forever. Our most sincere condolences to you, your family and your dear friends, Jane. Peace and Love to All, Taryn and John

Our deepest sympathies for your loss Jane. May the cherished memories of John bring you comfort during this difficult time. RIP John

Jane and family, we are very sad and sorry to hear about John. May you find strength, courage and peace as you celebrate his earthly life. Blessings to you as you journey through his memories.

Jane and family, Jim and I are so saddened to learn of John's passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers for comfort and peace. We both have fond memories of John as a boss and a friend. He was one of a kind.

Sending our thoughts and prayers to Aunt Tudie, Jane, Jamie, Hillary, all the grandkids , and to all my cousins. John was a great cousin. We had many fun times hanging out with family, going to concerts, and tailgating at Iowa games. I'm very proud to call him my cousin and looked up to him, as an example of how hard work and dedication, makes one successful at home, and in the business world. I'm glad I was able to see him a few times over the last couple years. John, you will be missed tremendously and fondly thought of often. God bless the Hubler family.

Our deepest sympathies for your loss Jane. May the cherished memories of John bring you comfort during this difficult time. RIP John

I will always have the memory of John and wanting me to build a house next door to him on the golf course. How I had to convince him I would be the neighbor from HELL and not good for his property value! Harleys up and down the street. Starting the ZL1 Drag Car in the garage. Loud classic rock n roll, and the fact I may or may now mow the yard, bring in the trash cans or have the drapes/blinds closed in my home! We loved talking cars and catching up when we could. God Bless you! An honor to know you! Will always remember you as the guy with the 69 Camaro and the turn signals on the front fenders!

Jane and family, we are so sad for your loss. John was a good Hy-Vee friend. John always had a positive outlook and a smile on his face. Our paths to store mgr were similar and on the board together. God bless your whole family and RIP John.

John was such a fun guy with a huge heart. I always had so much fun when i was around him. He was my buddy and i’m sure going to miss him. Rest in peace my friend. 💔

During my time at Hy-Vee, John was highly respected as part of the Hy-Vee family. Shay and I enjoyed the few times we shared some "adult beverages" together at their driveway in Marion. Later, I had the privilege of working with John when he served on the board of directors for Heritage Bank. All the best to Jane and John's family!

Dear Jane, so sorry to have read about your loss in the paper. It has been many years since our paths have crossed. I had no idea you guys frequented Lake Havasu, since we now live in Chandler, AZ we have been over that way. Take care, God Bless and if you're ever close to Chandler give us a shout. Doug Muench

Dear Jane, your in our thoughts and prayers. Our time on Royal Ave created a bond between several of us that will not be forgotten. We had such good times. John was definitely one of the good ones. We will miss him greatly! Dave and Linda

Jane, we are very sorry for your loss. You & family are in our thoughts and prayers.

John was the most energetic, outgoing person I've ever met. Always a pleasure to be with, and I could tell that was true for others as well. I am honored to have been able to call him a great friend since high school; being able to see him far too infrequently. May God be with John and his family, and may John now be with God. Steve Burnett
