I knew Jim through out the years, since our daughters were in school together. No matter where we saw one another, at a store, at church or even next to one another pumping gas, there was always a hand shake AND we always took the time to chat about something and get a good laugh in. . Always picking up where we left off. One of the truest people I have ever know. . .And even though we never saw one another on a regular basis, he will forever be engraved in my mind, as one in a million.

We know that smiles will follow memories. Jim was a man of consistency in his faith, his love of family, and throughout his life. We were blessed to have known Jim as we participated together in our daughters' lives, sports, and school activities. Thank you Jim for being there!

I had the pleasure of working with Jim on the All Saints parish council as a high school senior. Despite my age, Jim welcomed and included me as a part of the team. May God bless your family and may his soul rest in peace.

My family moved to Cedar Rapids in 1995 when I took my first coaching job at Iowa. We met the Barry family and quickly became great friends. Coaching hours are long and Jim and his family took Lisa and our children in and were so helpful. We will forever be grateful. We had stayed great friends through the years and loved my visits with him each and every time. Jim and Sally are the God parents to our daughter Maddy and Jim loved spending time with her when she was a baby. We will miss Jim and his warm and kind demeanor. We send all our love to Sally and her family.
