It was a privilege and a blessing to take care of Tom these last 6 months. We formed a very special friendship that I will forever treasure. We had many conversations about Laurel and Sofie and he spoke frequently of Nathaniel and Jerry. My sincere sympathy. Michelle Hanson

Tom was a classmate at Washington High School. Many years later our paths crossed again when both Tom and my mother were living at The Villages in Marion. He and mom shared a dining table together. She encouraged him to write the book of his travels. My condolences to his family, Tom will be missed.

Tom was an amazing healer. He had a passion for learning and trying new approaches to help people in dealing with pain. I met him at Mercy and both Gerry and I were helped with message therapy. He loved being a dad and we enjoyed Nathan in martial arts and Tom's words of wisdom when he picked him up after class. Our thoughts are with you.

Tom and I were mighty Warriors in the large class of '66 at Washington High School. I enjoyed Tom's kindness in classes as well as watching his determination as a wrestler on those (stinky) mats in the WHS gym. May you rest in peace, dear Warrior. Martha

It has been quite a while since I spoke and visited with Tom Smith. He was someone who seemed never to forget a face. He had an easy way about him. I met him at Mercy....when he worked there. He often used the Library, and it seemed that he liked to know the latest research on his patients to get them better, as he was the healer. Sorry for the family's loss. May he rest in peace.
