I knew Trudy in many ways. Wife of John, receptionist, mother and a true child of God. I share with her family a celebration of the life she lived. She was a bright light to all who knew and loved her.
To the family, let me share these words: Things We Owe A Mother
We owe her for room and board for a 9-month residency.
We owe her for the comfort provided when we were hurting.
We owe her for the encouragement when we doubted.
We owe her for her persistence when we need a shove.
We owe her for her insight when we need adult words.
We owe her for letting our mistakes become lessons learned.
We owe her for teaching love without using words.
We owe her for examples of what to do and not do.
We owe her for speaking God’s words when we needed them.
Celebrate her life by helping others. It is a way to know the God within each of us.
God Bless all who benefitted from knowing her.

Coach Hegarty, just wanted to send my condolences on the loss of your mother. A lifelong west-sider firmly rooted in her faith - sounds like a life well-lived to me. Hope you're doing well. God Bless.

My sincere condolences to Trudy's family. I met her when she was working at Dr. Roalson's office and enjoyed visiting with her at Dr. Berkhof's office. She told me we were related , as my grandmother was Leitha Lentz. Trudy taught me the correct way to floss my teeth. I thoroughly enjoyed our visits.

John, my condolences to you on the passing of your mom. How lucky you were to have had her close so many years and it sounds like she was a wonderful lady. I think periodically of when we were teaching in that innovative program and how much I enjoyed your friendliness and sharp mind.
