I am the co-class agent for Dick's college class at Grinnell and also lived in the same residence hall with him for three years. Dick was one of the kindest people I have ever met. When I shared that thought with classmates and hall mates today, I got an incredible number of emails back agreeing. My condolences to his family and all those who have been touched by him.

I dated dicks cousin for years back in the the day. He was from the kindest family. They included me in all family activities. Dick was a good friend and a kind man.

So many great memories of this guy and his mom, Doc and Phyllis! He was a good buddy when he and the family came to our resort at Okoboji every year for two weeks..great guy and FUNNY! Best to the family . —Carl Ross
