Leona Morarie, 89 of Savanna IL, died Wednesday May 17, 2023 at home.

Visitation will be Tuesday May 23, 2023 at 10:00 am followed by her funeral at 11:00, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Cedar Rapids IA, Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial  Park Cemetery.

Leona was born August 25, 1933 in Hazleton, N.D. The daughter of Martin and Magdalena (Knodel) Ohlhauser. She married George Morarie on November 26, 1966,  she was a homemaker and she worked at Clean Towel for many years.

She enjoyed cooking, making candy, crocheting, going dancing with her husband, and spending time with her family. She also loved spending time with her dogs. 

Leona is survived by ; son Steven Morarie of Cedar Rapids ; daughter Teresa ( Robert ) Bauer of Savanna IL;  granddaughter Alicia Bauer ;  her brother Ernie Ohlhauser of Cedar Rapids;  as well as numerous loving nieces , nephews;  also by her beloved dog Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and three sisters ; and her husband.
