Uplifting Jan’s family in my prayers. Jan holds a very special place in my heart. She was always so loving and kind towards my family. I have so many memories of her and her love. I pray for comfort and peace for you all. Sending you all my love. Rae Ann

So many fond 3rd Avenue memories with the DeWoodys. Jan was one sweet and kind lady. She had a very positive outlook on life. From daily walks around the Marion track, monthly pinochle card club nights, sporting events with Todd and Jon - those were the best of times! Our sincere condolences to the DeWoody family.

Condolences to the DeWoody family. I have fond memories of Jan and Wally when 'our' Brad's were in Cub and Boy Scouts. Was saddened to learn of Jan's death. The picture is so much like Jan, I don't ever remember seeing her without a smile on her face. Cherish all you precious memories. May our loving God hold you in His comforting arms and grant you peace.

What an appropriate photo of Jan. I never saw her without a smile on her face. When I was in college, my summer job was working for the Marion Independent School District's building and grounds crew with other college and high school buddies. While our somewhat responsible crew was not always greeted with a smile and cheerful demeanor at other buildings, when we had an assignment at Mentzer, we knew that Jan would greet us with a smile and small talk on how we were all doing. She was a very sweet lady and the world was a better place because of her. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time, but rest in the knowledge that she was a friend and she made a difference. And that is all we can ask for. God bless.

You were a great scout leader to my daughters and a good co worker. You were a long lasting friend who made the world better. My heartfelt condolences to the family in this difficult time.

I loved Jan she was my Girl scout leader so kind with a smile always on her face so encouraging and fun.I am so sorry for your loss,Your in my thoughts and prayers

I was fortunate to have worked with Jan for several years at MISD. She always had that beautiful smile. She was a joy to be around. Such a kind and hard working lady! Prayers for her family and friends.

I love this picture of Jan. I attended school with Mollie K-12. I am sorry to hear Jan has passed away. On one of her visits to Florida, she took the time to meet up with my mom and they shared lunch and some sweet memories. To Mollie and the rest of the family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I went to school with Mollie(Class of 87) and sad to hear that Janet passed. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
