Memorial

Patricia E. (Coberly) Hinds, Age 76, passed away at the UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA on Friday, September 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 4 to 6 PM. A private family service will be offered on Thursday, September 29, 2022. 

Patricia Hinds was born on February 10, 1946, in Vinton, IA. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Evelyn (Potthoff) Coberly. On February 27, 1972, Patricia married the love of her life, George K. Hinds in Cedar Rapids, IA. She loved gardening, sewing, baking, reading, and living in the country. 

Those left to cherish Patricia’s memory is her husband, George, of Van Horne; her children, Tami Seiler of Charleston, SC, Robert Hinds of Stanwood, IA, George Hinds, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Steven (Dawn) Hinds of Shellsburg, IA; and her grandchildren, Heith, Angie, Hunter Hinds, Alex and Cooper Hayden; her brothers, Bill (Jodi) Coberly of Vermont, and Robert (Tik) Coberly of Vinton, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Candace Hayden.

The family would like to thank the Van Horne First Responders, the Blairstown EMS, and Air Care 1 for all the support they showed Patricia and her family.
