Marilee, I remember your father fondly. He was a caring person and involved with those around him. I know you will miss him. His gardening lives on with you. May God's grace and love sustain you and may you feel God's presence through the care and support of others. Nan

Deepest sympathy to the entire family. Dr Jim was one of the best to work for, he always loved sharing his wisdom, I learned so much from him. And him and Bev always hosted holiday party for the office at their home. Both very kind caring people. Rest easy Dr Jim ??

I’m praying for you and your family. He lived a long time. But he lives on in your memories. Blessings and peace.

What a celebration they are having as Dr Reinertson returns to his Heavenly home. He was such a kind and gentle man with lots of wisdom and practical experience as a pediatrician. I enjoyed him as a mentor and colleague. You are the best, Dr R. Lots of love and blessings to your family. Sheila

Our girls grew up in the RGR era (Reinertson Grey Reinertson). They had the best medical care you could ever ask for. I’ll never forget telling Dr Jim that our 2nd born was up every night at 4am +/- 20 minutes. He looked straight at me and said, “That’s •your• fault!” As usual, he was right. We truly loved both Reinertson doctors. Rest In Peace, Dr. Jim.

I have fond memories of Dr Reinertson as my pediatrician for all 5 of my children. Both he and Dr Downing worked closely together to assure you of the proper care. At a time when I had 4 children and pregnant with the 5th, he made a "house call", to check up on one of the 4 kids. Something above and beyond care and concern. My condolences to the whole family.

There are probably not many that had Dr Downing and Dr Reinertson for their pediatricians and then had Jim and Mark for their children. Remember going to their office on first Avenue as a kid. It was a time when doctors really cared about their patients, instead of trying to meet numbers for a big corporate hospital company. I am truly thankful for them and I wish their family peace and comfort during their time of loss. God bless the Reinertson family.

God's healing love to all of the family. Dr. Reinertson was my pediatrician and I remember him well. I also was seen by Dr. Mark Reinertson who also cared for my son. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was one of the lucky ones to have seen Dr. Jim as a kid on 1st Ave and then my son was seen by his son Dr. Mark. So much knowledge, kindness and caring in this family of doctors. My condolences to the Reinertson family for your loss of this wonderful man and doctor who served his community so well, may peace and comfort be with you all during this difficult time.

In 1979, I had my first child, Anna, and had chosen Dr Mark as our pediatrician. I always felt like I was in good hands with that pediatric office since our kids would be seen by Dr Jim if Dr Mark was not in on the day that I needed. On the very first time that Anna was seen by Dr Jim, we all enjoyed him but at the end of the examination, he told us what would "most likely" happen with whatever she had, but then he told us what could happen if she were to worsen. My husband and I knew that Anna was sick, but didn't know she was "that" sick. He told us what we needed to do to prevent her from being hospitalized - - - and it worked. Thank you, Dr Jim, for all of those great visits we had with you - - and may you Rest in Peace. We will meet again some day!

Our condolences to Dr Mark and family. We miss you as our doctor.. sorry about your dad! Take care, Cec, Tina, Jack, Madi, and Morgyn Hankins

Dr. Jim was an amazing doctor who helped this young mom navigate through all of the health challenges of two children. My son Mark remembers his many visits to the doctor’s office. Questions and concerns were always answered and there were many. He had a dry and sometimes sarcastic wit that I loved. Thank you for all that you did for your families that relied on your knowledge and loving care.

Marilee, Mark and families, I am very sorry to hear about your father’s passing. I have many memories of seeing him for illnesses. The worst when the four us of all had mumps, measles, chickenpoxes and my sister had to throw in some Scarlett fever to top it off. The city quarantined our house for about a month. He was a great doctor and wonderful man. May fond memories replace the pain of losing a parent! May the Lord comfort you.

My sincere sympathies to you Mark and your family. I worked as a pediatric nurse mostly at St Luke’s starting In 1976. I enjoyed working with you. Dr Jim showed character, professionalism and affection for his practice. I learned so much from you both. I especially enjoyed Dr Jim’s directness and sense of humor. He teased me when I took my son into the office sick. He told me his ears “were the worst ears he had ever seen” I was devastated and actually believed him. Sending prayers.

Dr Reinertson and Dr Downing were my pediatricians. Great Men. Still have the string Santa I was given and put it up every Year.
