Memorial

Deanna Sue Doehrmann, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday June 23, 2022, at the Gardens in Cedar Rapids. Deanna was born March 7, 1942, in Fort Madison, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Twyla (Culbertson) Hopp and her brother Ron.  She married Larry Doehrmann on June 24, 1961. Over the years they loved to dance: ballroom, clogging, square and round dancing. Together they had four children: Becky (Bryan) Ellis, Lisa (Hans) Haffner, Julie (Rob) Kilberger, Corey (Stephenie) Doehrmann. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Deanna was an avid gardener, crafter and quilter. After retirement, she loved traveling, walking on the beach, and picking up seashells. She was known for her contagious smile and laughter.  Deanna loved spending time with family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Thursday June 30, 2022, at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church by the Rev. Aanonson. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 4-7 pm. Burial: Private at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Family Care Giver’s Center, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Service will be livestream at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church Facebook page.
