Marvin L. Cox, 31, of Cedar Rapids passed away on July 24, 2022. Visitation 10-11 AM, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Marvin was born on December 4, 1990, in Chicago, IL. He was the son of Darnell Cox and Marie Snyder. He loved sports especially, basketball. Marvin also enjoyed video games. He liked to go shopping as well. Marvin was an awesome father and was a role model to many.

Survivors include his mother Marie Mulkey of Cedar Rapids, father Darnell Cox of Indiana, children Marvin Cox Jr. of Burlington, Martez Cox of Burlington, Amirah Cox of Burlington, Mirihana Cox of Cedar Rapids, and Malani Cox of Cedar Rapids, siblings Byron (Amashoda) Cox of Cedar Rapids, Marvell (Kristen) Cox of Burlington, Chantelle (Tyron) Harris of Georgia, and Muccsa (Remo) Sharp of Cedar Rapids, grandparents Myrtle (Stanley) Peden and James Snyder, significant other Sarah James of Cedar Rapids, mothers of his children Blayzia McDowell of Burlington and Justine Grant of Burlington, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents.
