Memorial

Linda Kay Kading, 77, of Van Horne, Iowa passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2022, at Colonial Manor of Amana.  Visitation will be on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be 10:30 AM on Friday, February 18th, 2022, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church: 307 3rd Ave. Van Horne, Iowa 52346. There will be a visitation an hour prior to service, starting at 9:30 at the church. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Van Horne, Iowa. Please join the family for a luncheon following the graveside service at the church.

Linda was born June 28, 1944, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Arthur and Annabelle (Fretz) Heubner.  She attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  Linda married John Kading on August 15, 1974, in Galesburg, Illinois.  She was a devoted homemaker.  Linda enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, crocheting, and taking care of her dogs.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.  The were her pride and joy in life.  

Linda is survived her four children, Bob (Ann) Heubner of Robins, IA; Kim (Tim) Grimm of Deep River, IA; Dee (Keith) Zahrt of Cedar Rapids, IA; Donny (Angel) Kading of Van Horne, IA; grandchildren, Ashlee Grimm, Jon Heubner, AJ Grimm, Elyssa Kading, Allie Kading, Gracie Zahrt, and Stella Kading; three brothers, Gary, Duane, and Randy Heubner; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Ann Heubner; and her spouse, John Kading.
