Memorial
Helen Roth, 102, passed away peacefully at Silver Oak Nursing Center, Marion, Iowa, on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by the memorial service.
Helen was born March 21, 1920, in Marion, Iowa, a daughter of Charles and Ethel (Reynolds) Daws, and on November 20, 1937, she married Kenneth Roth in Omaha. Helen lived her entire life in Marion, and spent her first 90 years residing in the house in which she was born.
Helen was a devoted wife of 68 years, the greatest mother a child could ask for, and a great friend to many, especially her neighbors. Most of all, she loved and adored her grandchildren. Her kind and sweet soul, along with her timid giggle, will be dearly missed by all.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents, husband, son Billy, and siblings Harley, Harmie, and Charles.
Survivors include sons Steve (Mary) of Omaha, and Jim (Debby) of Marion; grandsons Joe (Maura) of Roswell, GA; Phillip (Kayla) of Williamsburg; and granddaughter Carly Roth (Justin Wert) of Omaha; great grandchildren Addison and Presley of Roswell, and Jaylen and Sadie of Williamsburg; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
